"In making a reality-based film, the people have to look real, be real, sound real. It is very different from any other thriller that I have ever seen, and certainly ever made," says Bregman.

Producer Lou Stroller adds, "It's a real movie with great dialogue, mystery, intrigue and many elements woven into it. The audience has to participate and think."

The stellar ensemble cast who join Washington and Jolie includes: Queen Latifah, who stars as Rhyme's care giver Thelma; Ed O'Neill as Detective Paulie Sellitto, Rhyme's former partner; Mike McGlone as Sellitto's new partner, fresh-faced Kenny Solomon; Michael Rooker as hard-nosed Chief of Crime Scenes Howard Cheney; John Benjamin Hickey as Rhyme's physician friend Dr. Barry Lehman; Leland Orser as medical technician Richard Thompson; and Luis Guzman as forensics genius Eddie Ortiz.

Guzman previously worked with Bregman in Carlito's Way, and the cast also includes other Bregman veterans like Mike McGlone, who most recently starred in One Tough Cop, and Michael Rooker, who costarred in Sea of Love.

Bregman says, "Everybody we have in this film has been carefully hand-picked and honed."
